A method is developed to analyze the accuracy of a star tracker with a semi-disk modulator of a light flux. Radial and axial modulator beats are considered along with the Schottky effect of a photomultiplier in the case of sinusoidal and rectangular demodulating functions. The results of a corresponding calculation for a two-coordinate astrometric tracker stabilization system for the astrophysical observatory Orion-2 is presented.
