/RESUME The present paper deals with issue of actual thermochemical nature of the flows produced during MSRO F4 campaigns. A discussion is proposed concerning recent DLAS measurements probing the molecule CO2 for different arc heating times in the reservoir. According to these observations, it appeared that previous flows produced for 120 milliseconds of arc heating did not comprise measurable CO2 species by DLAS and the conducted numerical analysis led to preliminary results showing that the flow was more likely composed of O2/CO as major species instead of expected CO2. This unexpected chemical behaviour of atomic oxygen could be explained by a recombination process underestimated by theory.
