The problem of the optimal four-impulse transfer of a spacecraft from an initial almost circular orbit to a specified point of a close noncoplanar orbit within a fixed period of time is analyzed. In addition to the total characteristic velocity, the functional to be minimized contains terms reflecting energy requirements for the compensation of deviations due to orientation errors resulting from the first two impulses. A lower bound on the minimized functional is proposed which makes it possible to significantly reduce the computational effort.
