Scientific paper

The past decade has ushered in a revolution in our understanding of the Universe. In broad brush, we summarize how a series of observations have led to four key cosmological realizations. These realizations then lead to a standard model of cosmology somewhat different from what might have been expected even just a decade ago. In addition, we have gone from being unsure about qualitative features of the Universe to arguing about percent-level details of the model. It has been a truly remarkable transition.
