Sets of new low temperature opacities have been computed for different Z values and compared with Kurucz (1992) new envelope opacities for a solar Z value. We applied these data together with the new OPAL opacities to recalibrate the Delta Centauri system. Our solution favors a high value for the metallicity, Z about 2 Z(solar), and a unique convection parameter for both stars. With the Te's values given by Chmielewski et al. (1992) and taken at the limit of their error bars to increase the T(e) difference between both components, it is even possible to reproduce exactly the Z-value they derived from their spectral analysis.
