Scientific paper

The paper proposes a method for solving the hydrodynamic equations for the O(+) and H(+) ions with allowance for the nonstationary and nonlinear terms in the equations of motion of these components. Results of calculations are presented and compared with results of previous studies. It is shown that the filling of emptied magnetic flux tubes occurs at velocities of directed plasma motion which are close to the thermal velocity. It is emphasized that nonlinear acceleration should be taken into account in models of the filling of flux tubes after magnetic storms.
