Papers are presented on such topics as the origin of cosmic rays, mechanisms of the acceleration and propagation of cosmic rays in the Galaxy, the generation of cosmic rays in binary star systems, the acceleration of charged particles in the shell of a supernova, and cosmic X-rays associated with bremsstrahlung from nonthermal protons and nuclei. Solar cosmic rays and the modulation of galactic cosmic rays in interplanetary space are discussed in detail.
