An Alfven wave can be damped in a turbulent medium by its interaction with another alfven wave or particles. The heating from damping of Alfven waves has been considered in a great variety of objects, like giant B stars e and the Sun. Now we propose that this mechanism can be important for accretion disks as an additional heating mechanism. In this work, we consider the possibility of this extra heating in protostellar accretion disks.
