The nonlinear equations describing shear Alfven vortices in a plasma with Beta greater than me/mi and less than me/mi are obtained (Beta is the ratio of the plasma pressure to the pressure of the magnetic field, me, mi are the electron and ion masses, respectively). These equations are shown to have a dipole vortex solution with space-decreasing amplitude. The peculiarity of the considered vortex solution is the power law of the decrease of the transverse electric potential on the sufficiently far periphery.
