An albedo-color diagram - A(0.65 micron), C(0.65 micron/0.43 micron) - was obtained from photometric and colorimetric data for 256 small (6 arcsec) regions of the lunar surfaces. Digital image processing was used to obtain an A(0.4 micron), C(0.7 micron/0.4 micron) diagram and a map of optical types of soils for a region including the eastern part of Mare Humorum. The A-C diagram is interpreted on the basis of a model of light scattering by powderlike media.
