Attention is focused on two specific issues, the first one dealing with the Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) source counts and the soft X-Ray Background (XRB) and the second one with the AGN source models for the hard XRB where the dominant part of the XRB intensity is concentrated. The achronic AGN is used to include both the Sy nuclei of type 1, or low luminosity nuclei with an absolute magnitude MB greater than -23, and the quasars, or nuclei MB less than -23(q0 = 0; H0 = 50). Whenever necessary, specific reference to these two classes of objects is made.
