We discuss a Chandra observation of the z = 0.83 cluster MS1054 and
identify an excess of point sources in this field likely to be luminous
AGN populating the outskirts of the cluster. We also report first
results from an extremely deep XMM survey of the SSA22 protocluster
field at z = 3.09.
