After a careful analysis of those AGK3 stars with high proper motion, it
is concluded that more than 100 of them seem to be affected by spurious
errors. In some cases a preliminary proper motion has been determined
using the published material of the Astrographic Catalogue so as to
check whether the values quoted in the AGK3 are in error or not.
