We use distance estimates for F stars, including those correcting the
HIPPARCOS distances, to infer that overluminous single F stars are
substantially older that normal F stars. We also find that binaries with
an F-star primary are on average substantially younger than single F
stars within the same temperature, luminosity, and distance ranges.
