The main results of a study of the aerosol component (clouds and haze) in the atmospheres of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are briefly reviewed. Consideration is given to the albedo and color characteristics of clouds, microphysical structure, and altitude differences in the cloud cover estimated from photometry and polarimetry and from the intensity of molecular absorption fields. The physical and chemical composition of the clouds and the properties of stratospheric aerosol are also discussed.
