Theoretical curves inferred from Jenkins, Savage, and Spitzer's fit of Spitzer's idealized model do not pass properly through additional scatter diagrams that can be formed from the same data. Specifically, significant discrepancies occur for scatter diagrams of the depletion of one element against that of another. It is shown, however, that simple adjustments to the values defining these theoretical curves can be made to correct the problem. These adjustments produce new curves that remain in good agreement with the scatter diagrams used by Jenkins, Savage, and Spitzer in their original fitting. The present analysis concludes that the spread between the mean intercloud depletion and the mean cold-cloud depletion for Mg and P are substantially larger than those estimated in the earlier study. Further, the values for log δ(Mn) should be systematically more negative, indicating a greater level of manganese depletion.
