How can we work effectively with out-of-school time programs to engage youth in science and technology? What types of materials can be easily integrated into out-of-school learning experiences? Can existing formal education materials be adapted for use in out-of-school settings? To address these questions, the Origins Education Forum and the Pacific Science Center have partnered to identify best practices for integrating NASA space science content into out-of school learning opportunities. Lessons learned are applicable to a wide range of education and public outreach efforts.
