This article describes how the simple ISBA2,3 soil vegetation
atmosphere transfer scheme has been adapted to polar conditions of
Antarctica to retrieve surface and deep temperatures of polar cap. The
main goal of the study is to improve the initialization of surface
temperature of the French mesoscale model meso-NH.4,5
