We propose to continue the ongoing long-term monitoring program of a sample of solar-type stars to search for cyclic behavior, analogous to the one observed for the Sun, in their X-ray emission. These stars have moderate levels of activity and are thus true ``solar analogs''. XMM-Newton makes it possible, for the first time, to efficiently monitor the low-activity, cyclic stars and to effectively study the characteristics of the activity cycles on stars other than the Sun.
