Topics include: (1) articles and fields in the solar system (ionosphere and northern lights, magnetosphere and solar wind, energetic particle radiation); (2) infrared astronomy (astronomical observations, development of observation systems, theoretical work); (3) X-ray astronomy (astronomical observations and observation systems in the X-ray domain, laboratory research and measurements, theoretical work); (4) gamma ray astronomy (investigation of flare and burst events in the gamma radiation domain, (compton telescope, high energy gamma astronomy); and (5) laboratory spectroscopy (nonlinear optics and coherent vacuum UV light sources, molecular spectroscopy, theoretical work).
