Astronomical spectrographs mounted at the telescope suffer from drifts of the spectrum on the detector due to flexure effects, as well as changes in focus due to temperature effects, while those mounted in the Coudé room suffer from high frequency vibrations. The authors propose a system to measure and correct these effects, which improves substantially the efficiency, and reduces the weight and cost of the spectrographs.
