Observational evidence for the presence of actinides in stellar spectra is reviewed. Occurrence of Th II and U, U/Th ratio predictions for an r-process event, predictions of the abundance of transuranic actinides to 100 million years after the event, and results of a search for actinide nuclides are discussed. Some problems on the agenda for experimental verification via actinide astronomy are mentioned.
