After we point out the principles of the acousto-optic spectrometer (AOS) some questions about channel number and the AOS measurements uncertainties are discussed. To overcome the limits imposed by the acoustic attenuation and velocity one low cost LiNbO(subscript 3) acousto- electro-optic interaction configuration with high channel number possibilities is proposed. Taking the turbulence and temperature affects on measurements uncertainties together a criteria was established to use the spectrometer during radio astronomy observations with lower uncertainties and costs.
