Precise positions have been obtained for 51 quasars and quasar candidates from the zone south of declination -45 deg in the Parkes survey. The positions were measured on ESO(B) quick blue survey plates relative to SAO catalog reference stars or, for the zone south of -64 deg, to Cape catalog stars. The estimated error is 0.4 arcsec in the two coordinates.
