The nature of the compact central objects (CCOs) within supernova remnants is still a puzzle, and identifying new examples can provide vital clues as to what these sources could be. 1WGA J1713.4-3949 may be a CCO associated with the remnant G347.3-0.5. We propose observations with Chandra to obtain an accurate position for 1WGA J1713.4-3949, to enable deep searches for its optical/NIR counterpart and establish whether this source is a new addition to the small sample of CCOs in supernova remnants.
