We have developed a clumpy wind model for OB supergiants with both a
spherical and a non spherical symmetry. We have explored the resulting
effects of the accretion of such a wind onto a neutron star. We have
applied this model to explain the observed X-ray faring activity in both
persistent and transient sources (Supergiant Fast X-ray Transients).
