The chemical composition of Sirius A was calculated using Copernicus ultraviolet spectrum. Our results and earliar investigations of this star permit to find the abundances of 50 chemical elements in the atmosphere of Sirius A. We found that the abundance pattern of Sirius A is strongly contaminated by s-process enriched matter. It can be explained by mass transfer from Sirius B at previous stage of its evolution. Three different estimates of the age of Sirius B from 103 108 years are possible.
