The authors study an accretion disk with a hot, continuous corona. They assume that the corona itself accretes and therefore it is powered directly by the release of the gravitational energy and cooled by a radiative interaction with the disk. They consider the vertical structure of such a corona and show that the radial infall is accompanied by a strong vertical outflow. The model has three important consequences: (i) at a given radius, the model predicts four distinct luminosity states differing strongly with respect to the relative level of coronal radiation (hard X-ray power low) and disk radiation (optical/UV/soft X-ray bump); (ii) global disk spectra are significantly flatter in the optical/UV band due to the mass loss and the decrease of dissipation within the disk; (iii) mass loss from the corona leads to strong nuclear wind, in addition to the wind from Compton heated outer parts of the disk.
