The role of synchrotron losses in the process of acceleration of electrons in the vicinities of magnetic-field zero points in solar flares is considered and typical energies of accelerated particles are estimated. Experimental data are obtained that evidence in favour of acceleration of ultrarelativistic electrons (up to 1 GeV) in the solar flare of April 29, 1973 and steepening of the energy spectrum of electrons. The synchrotron losses are suggested to be a possible cause of the spectrum steepening.
