The acceleration of the solar wind connected with the nonlinear absorption of Alfven waves is investigated, and the corresponding heat and momentum sources are determined. It is shown that dissipative acceleration leads to the rapid movement of plasma in a sufficiently narrow zone adjacent to a singular point. This is confirmed by radio probing data.
