The Lorentz-Dirac equation for protons and electrons is integrated numerically using the Landau approximation for the electromagnetic field of a magnetic dipole with its axis of rotation perpendicular to its magnetic dipole vector. Applying parameter values typical for pulsars, the authors give a systematic survey of the topography of particle orbits and of the development of particle energy.
