The study obtains the distribution of the C/O ratio in carbon stars in
the solar neighborhood and the Cygnus, Aquila, and Sagittarius regions.
A group of carbon-enriched CF stars is identified. The distribution of
the C/O ratio near the galactic equator of the observed carbon is
illustrated.
