A quantitative analysis of the spectrum of SU Tau in the 3900-5000 A region as 28 A/mm dispersion is presented, using a spectrogram from the 6 m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory of thy USSR Academy of Sciences. The analysis, carried out by the differential curve-of-growth method, used R CrB as the comparison star. It is found that the spectral type of SU Tau is G1, with a microturbulent velocity of 7.5 km/sec and an electron pressure log of -0.5. In addition, metal abundances for both variable stars are about the same, a figure similar to solar values. Finally, SU Tau is more abundant in carbon than R CrB (which exceeds solar values by a factor of 10-50).
