Calibration management at a multi-instrument observatory can be challenging, especially when each instrument may contain multiple modes and configurations. The Gemini telescopes are prime examples which experience an influx of new instruments and configurations. We describe meta-data based techniques used in generalizing and automating the association of calibrations to science. Additionally, we list applications and uses of the resulting tools and association templates.
