Long-slit spectroscopic observations of the M31 globular cluster Vetesnik 42 (G78, Bo 409) are presented. The data extend out to roughly 6 core radii, and the strengths of various absorption features are examined as functions of distance from the cluster core. It is found that the equivalent widths of most metal features weaken with increasing distance from the cluster center. Various explanations for this gradient are examined; one possibility is a change in mean metallicity such that -0.3, another is that the core of the cluster may contain stars younger than those in the outer regions.
