The paper presents a description of the software and hardware of the automated observation system for the special-purpose SEF-1 telescope, which is designed for absolute measurements of the solar spectrum. The system can also be used for a wide range of solar spectral observations, including high-resolution solar spectroscopy. The automation system provides for an optimal regime of observations and makes it possible to otbain large quantities of high-quality information.
