New small EAS experiments at observation levels 500 - 600 g cm-2 devoted to investigation of the primary mass composition and energy spectrum at energies 104 - 105GeV are necessary to carry out calibration between the direct (balloons and satellites) and indirect (EAS) methods for primary cosmic flux studies. A new shower selection has to be used to apply compact EAS arrays for unbiased primary mass composition and energy spectrum estimations.
