We have identified the absorption lines of Cu, Zn, Ga, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Cd, Sn, Hf, Ta, W, Re, Os, Hg, Pb, Th, U by comparing an atlas of the Sirius A spectrum with the synthetic one computed in the near-UV region (between 1649 Å an 3170 Å). The synthetic spectrum technique was used to determine the abundances of these elements in the Sirius A atmosphere. A summary table of the abundances of heavy elements is given. It is noted that abundances of gallium, tin, thorium, uranium were not studied early. The detected overabundances of heavy elements are in the range of 0.4-3.2 dex with respect to the meteoritic abundances.
