Universe: Gravitation Theory
Scientific paper
A solution to the gravity paradox is proposed in the case of a flat expanding universe according to the standard big-bang model. It is shown that gravitational effects on a point are limited to the causal sphere of the point. A potential function is defined throughout the causal sphere. It is shown that the gravitational field given by general relativity theory in an isotropic homogeneous space is the gradient of this function. Finally, applications related to the universe net energy density and to the Mach principle are proposed.
