The main characteristic of the long term evolution of MEO objects lies in the growth of their eccentricity, which can rise up to 0.7, or even more, during the typical time scale of 200 years. This characteristic has to be accounted for mission analysis of projects such as the european navigation system Galileo. It can be precisely studied with a numerical integration of the averaged equations of motion.
