A distance class 6 Abell galaxy cluster X-ray source has been sighted with the Ariel V sky survey instrument. On the basis of the new data the position of X-ray source 3U0405 + 10 has been revised, and the Ariel V error box now includes Abell 478, the class 6 cluster. Abell 478 is at a distance of 900 Mpc and has a 2-20 keV X-ray luminosity of 5.4 plus or minus 1.1 times 10 to the 45th power erg/s.
