The geometrical theory of finite incidence structures is used to classify the possible configurations of the bosonic field characteristic of 11-dimensional supergravity, as well as to solve the corresponding field equations, in the case of Abelian anisotropic spatially homogeneous cosmological models. Solutions with different splittings of the ten spatial dimensions are discussed in connection with the time behavior of both the spatial volume associated with the directions along which the bosonic field lives and the complementary volume. This behavior depends clearly on the type of configuration of the bosonic field as well as on the amount of anisotropy of the models.
