In an ongoing effort to find an ab initio theory for the heliospheric modulation of cosmic rays, we combine modulation theory with the most recently available theoretical treatments of solar wind turbulence and the transport of charged particles in a magnetized medium. We present results from a 2D steady-state numerical modulation model that utilizes a parallel diffusion coefficient from quasi-linear theory (Teufel & Schlickeiser, Astron. Astrophys., 390, pp. 15-25, 2003) and perpendicular diffusion coefficients from non-linear guiding center theory (Matthaeus et al., Astrophys. J. Lett., 590, L53, 2003). This work is compared with previous work that utilized substantially different descriptions for the perpendicular diffusion coefficients.
