Numerical results of an emission model for local sources of the S-component of solar radio radiation are compiled. Both thermal bremsstrahlung and gyromagnetic emission are considered. The model is distinguished by the choice of continuous height distributions of the input plasma parameters N(e),T, which is based on a physically unified sunspot model derived by Staude (1981) from recent optical and EUV observations, and by detailed numerical work. The present aim was to investigate the influence of the strength and the scale height of the magnetic fields, and to test various models of the chromosphere-corona transition region. The results are presented in the form of brightness distributions, spectra of flux density, and degree of polarization. The effective radii of the sources of gyromagnetic emission are also computed, assuming cylindrical geometry. Differences with details of the model of Gelfreikh and Lubyshev (1979) are briefly noted.
