The RL2048S 2048 diode array has been designed to meet the demands by scientists in the fields of astronomy, chemistry, and nuclear studies for spectroscopic and spectrographic applications. This array features a multireadout mode, variable photosite sizes, wide aperture, low noise, and wide dynamic range. Because of the stringent requirements for dynamic range and a millisecond readout time, the array was partitioned into segments with multiple video lines accessing the diodes.
