A diagram of the mechanical design of a Fabry-Perot instrument for measuring emission lines of interstellar sources (particularly emission nebulae) is presented along with a block schematic of the various modes of operation. The Fabry-Perot system consists of a single fringe pressure scanned photoelectric instrument which can be used for measuring emission line profiles and/or polarization within emission lines; an ultra-narrow band pass imaging device; a large field (17 arc min on 30 in telescope) single channel photoelectric photometer or photopolarimeter; and a photographic Fabry-Perot producing an image that covers one complete free spectral range within an f/15 beam.
