The Twin Photometric Telescope, St. Andrews has recently been upgraded, which included the provision of new computer-controlled photometers. The design of the single-channel photometers is conventional except in the way in which target objects are acquired and monitored during observations. The new instruments use integrating CCD cameras to observe continuously the fields surrounding the apertures. This reflective-aperture design also gives advantages in the efficiency with which sky observations can be made simultaneously with checks on the telescope pointing.
