The cross-correlation technique has been used to detect a third harmonic in the radial velocity of EF Eridani as a function of phase; this behavior, inexplicable in terms of either Zeeman splitting or radiative transfer effects, is presently characterized in kinematic terms. It is suggested that the absorbing material possesses a higher radial velocity than the underlying emitting material, so that either the material is decelerated along the accretion stream or the stream is peculiarly curved.
