Using a Lagrange approach to the theory of turbulence, an equation is obtained for the correlation tensor of a magnetic field in a highly conductive turbulent fluid. The equation is analyzed for all known types of turbulence. It is shown that an exponential growth of magnetic flucturations (magnetic dynamo) occurs in Kolmogoroff turbulence given large magnetic Reynolds numbers. The correlation between kinematic viscosity and the coefficient of diffusion for the magnetic field is not found to be significant for the given problem. An analysis is carried out showing that a field is also generated in low-mode turbulence.
