The two-sided brightness pattern of a gravitationally lens dual-image is shown to hold information on the transverse velocity of the lens. The radiation passing one side of the lens is shown to gain brightness, while the opposite holds true on the other side of the lens. The magnitude of the effect is quantified, and the transverse velocity of a moving lens is demonstrated to be available by considering the fractional changes in photon energy produced by an encounter with the lens. Detectors with limits near 0.1 mK sensitivity are necessary for registering the projected changes.
